Vortice/ErP Directive

Vortice changes ventilation systems in response to ErP Directive

  • 13 Apr 2016

Vortice has set out changes within many of its ventilation systems to ensure that all products are fully compliant with the ErP directive.

The ErP directive setting minimum performance criteria for ventilation became effective at the beginning of 2016.

It applies to products throughout the EU which can have an effect on energy consumption throughout their lifecycle, from manufacture through to the end of their life.

Vortice products which fall under this category have been amended to be fully ErP compliant and now carry an energy efficiency class rating which gives information about the energy efficiency of the product.

Vortice General Manager Kevin Hippey commented: “It is important that, as a large manufacturer, Vortice responds to these changes swiftly and effectively.

Our global Head Office in Italy has been working tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition of old to new product ranges which can be brought to the market successfully. As an energy conscious company we want to ensure all our products meet these new energy efficient regulations.”
