Schlüter-Systems is celebrating its 50th anniversary at its award-winning Schlüter-WORKBOX training centre.
In 1966, Fliesen-Schlüter was founded by German tiler, Werner Schlüter. Over the years, the company has evolved into a global network with seven subsidiaries.
Since its foundation, it has aimed to provide quality products, service and support, despite the constant development of its product offering.
Its original tile profile, Schlüter-SCHIENE, has been joined by a variety of different flooring solutions: Schlüter-DITRA 25 is a waterproof polyethylene membrane, designed for tile and natural stone installations, whilst its Schlüter-DITRA-HEAT-TB provides underfloor heating.
More recently, the company has launched Schlüter-LIPROTEC, a smart technology which combines lighting and profiles with the tile and stone covering.
To celebrate the company’s 50th anniversary, its UK subsidiary was invited to the new Schlüter-WORKBOX training centre in Germany. Schlüter’s own ceramic thermal comfort floor, Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM, was used in the construction of the building, which largely features natural stone and ceramics.
The centre has recently been awarded a Platinum Certificate by the German Sustainable Building Council, adding to the company’s environmental credentials.
