Noise Action Week took place last week, with the support ventilation manufacturer, Vent-Axia, as part of its commitment to the control and reduction of sound levels.
Noise Action Week focuses on the problems that excessive noise can cause. Equally committed to reducing sound levels, Vent-Axia was happy to support the initiative, which took place from 23-28 May.
The company utilises a sound laboratory and computational fluid dynamics to ensure that its ventilation solutions are both efficient and quiet in operation.
Vent-Axia is dedicated to providing alternative ventilation solutions to noisy extract fans. Operating at 14dBA, its Silent Fan boasts the Noise Abatement Society’s Quiet Mark 2016; it has been designed to provide both acoustic and ‘visual’ silence, with an unobtrusive, slimline design.
Meanwhile, the company’s Lo-Carbon Revive has been designed to cater for the social housing sector. Its Multi-Vortex technology incorporates a hybrid impellor, which ensures discreet and continuous operation. The fan works to remove moisture and stale air, providing good indoor air quality and comfort for tenants.
For the new build sector, Vent-Axia has developed its Sentinel Kinetic Advance Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR). Near silent in operation, Advance also benefits from time-saving commissioning and control, via a web-enabled app.
The system features trickle settings of up to 40%, which will stay below 20dBA. It boasts a specific fan power (SFP) as low as 0.38W/l/s, combined with 93% heat recovery and a high pressure airflow of 100l/s at 150Pa.
Indoor air quality and ventilation manufacturing specialist Nuaire is pleased to be exhibiting at the Specifi Mechanical Services events once again in 2025.
