VSG Hardwoods training

Book VSG training for temperate and tropical hardwoods

  • 2 Jun 2016

Exova BM TRADA’s Visual Strength Grading course for temperate and tropical hardwoods will take place from 13-15 July at the company’s High Wycombe site.

The three day course is aimed at those in the specification and supply of hardwood for structural use. It will be delivered through both practical days in the timber yard and classroom-based learning.

The course will be delivered by Phil O’Leary, Exova BM TRADA’s timber technology investigations team lead. It will provide participants with a knowledge of the uses of strength graded timber and the meaning of strength classes and an understanding of the responsibility of the grader and grading company.

Using hand held samples, participants will also be taught the natural growth characteristics of wood and will undertake practical exercises for grading hardwood timber.

To book a place, visit the Exova BM TRADA website or contact the company directly via email.
