Centriforce expands detectable warning mesh production facility

  • 3 Jun 2016

Centriforce has invested in new production and test facilities for its Locata range of detectable underground warning mesh.

The introduction of the new production line, which has been developed to manufacture Centriforce’s EN12613-compliant mesh, follows the company’s 2015 investment in a blown film line for its utility warning tapes.

A purpose-built ‘trench test’ Quality Assurance facility has been installed, to ensure that the company’s warning tapes and mesh meet the stringent requirements of EN12613. The full production capability also includes new lamination and tape perforation amenities to create detectable grades of both tape and mesh.

Now its production expansion plans have been completed, the company can offer its full range of plastic tapes, mesh and cable protection boards, which have been designed to warn the presence of underground services for electricity, water, telecommunications and gas.

The company’s Locata underground warning tape and mesh, and its Tapetile and Stockbord cable covers, are available in a variety of sizes and colours. Bespoke designs, text and logos can be used to meet the specific requirement of different customers; alternatively, the products can be ordered from stock with standard warning texts.

Centriforce’s products are used globally, for visual warning, detectable and covered protection of water and sewerage pipes, gas mains, electrical, telecoms and fibre-optic cables.
