The A. Proctor Group has supplied its Profloor Dynamic Deck System to deliver acoustic flooring at a new residential development in Cambridge.
Built on the former site of Cambridge City Football Club, the Mitchams Park development comprises a series of Crest Nicholson apartments, townhouses and family homes. The residential space was designed by Formation Architects, in conjunction with Camal Architects of Cambridge.
The grounds pay homage to the history of the site: landscape features include a central green, which is reminiscent of a football pitch, and two planted ‘players tunnels’, which provide a link between the garden areas.
The innovative development was shortlisted for the 2015 Housing Design Awards.
The Profloor Dynamic Deck 26 System was specified to reduce impact and airborne sound within the new homes. Designed to insulate against noise, the system boasts compliance with Approved Document E and Robust Details.
Suitable for installation with timber and concrete floors, the system enables developers to meet current legislative performance requirements. It can be used for refurbishment projects, as well as new build specifications.
