Polyflor has announced the launch of Silentflor PUR, its new collection of heavy commercial sheet vinyl flooring, which incorporates acoustic properties.
The Silentflor range has been developed for installation in commercial interiors: the residential, education, healthcare, leisure and retail sectors can benefit from the collection, which offers 19dB impact sound reduction.
The range incorporates 36 designs in a 3.7mm gauge and 0.65mm wear layer sheet format. Its wood effect designs replicate a variety of natural wood species and grains, including oak, ash and limed wood patterns; chevron design floors are also available.
It offers 8 contemporary concrete and 12 abstract designs, which are available in both neutral tones and accent colours.
In addition to providing aesthetically appealing floor coverings, the Silentflor range can supplement a building’s acoustic performance. Within busy commercial and public locations, excessive noise can be detrimental to those using the facility.
The flooring’s acoustic layer reduces the effects of impact sound, such as footsteps from upper levels and door slams, preventing disruptive noises from travelling through the building.
Polyflor has enhanced the range with its robust, polyurethane reinforcement layer, PUR. Cross linked and UV cured, the enhancement offers low maintenance, cost-effective cleaning benefits. The flooring is, thus, both suitably hygienic and eco-friendly.
The range has achieved an Indoor Air Comfort Gold rating, and a BRE A+ rating in major use areas; its VOC emissions are below any globally determined levels. As it contains recycled material, Silentflor is completely recyclable through the Recofloor recycling scheme.
Samples can be ordered via Polyflor’s website.
