NARM

A successful year for NARM

  • 14 Mar 2017

NARM worked hard in 2016 to raise awareness of rooflighting best practice and generally present the case for daylighting in the built environment.

NARM introduced an online RIBA CPD seminar, ‘An Introduction to daylighting with Rooflights’ lasting approximately 30 minutes and relevant to stages 0,1 and 2 of the RIBA Plan of Work. The seminar has been developed as part of NARM’s commitment to best practice in rooflight specification and installation and is applicable to domestic and non-domestic projects

Also, NARM became a member organisation of the National Federation of Roofing Contrators facilitating close and regular communication, with the goal of creating a more ‘joined up’ UK roofing industry.

Bennett & Partners, the organisation that manages NARM marketing communications, publish the new bi-monthly digital magazine, DAYLIGHTING, for UK architects, specifiers and construction professionals. The magazine offers editorial opportunities and discounts for NARM members, something that was new for 2016.

Meeting on a quarterly basis and providing in-depth support for members on matters relating to rooflight specification and compliance, NARM’s technical team are working for it’s members. As a result, the interests of all members are being considered and supported in relation to regulations and standards.

Highlighting the benefits of rooflighting in terms of energy saving, health & wellbeing is a huge par of what NARM does.

In addition, 2016 saw NARM’s website receive over 1000 hits every month and an increase in social media presence with over 500 followers on Twitter and a growing following on LinkedIn.
