Fibo wall panels provide social housing with quality

  • 5 Apr 2017

Fibo has rebranded its UK division, Respatex, as part of an expansion programme in response to demand within the public sector particularly. Fibo’s growth is supported by a £14 million plant investment in its Norwegian factory and HQ to double capacity.

High in quality, long-lasting, and cost-effective, Fibo’s panels are an alternative to ceramic tiling for social housing, retirement homes, sheltered accommodation, hospitals, education buildings and leisure centres.

Since 2004, South Lanarkshire Council has used Fibo’s wall panels and installed them in more than 20,000 properties. Vince Nugent, project manager for South Lanarkshire Council said the product has an excellent reputation in terms of installation, aesthetic finish and long term durability.

The bathroom panels are ideal for refurbishment and new construction projects, fitting directly to the walls, stud partitioning or existing tiles. The panels are quick and easy to install with the Aqualock system. Plus, there is no need for sub-contractors with the simple tongue-and-groove system.

The decorative wall panels provide instant, hygienic waterproofing and are made from laminated birch, with PVC or brushed aluminium profile edges. The 3D grooves of the superior ranges replicate a grouting effect, giving the look and feel of traditional tiles.
