St. Peter’s Court, the tallest building in the easterly coastal town of Lowestoft, Suffolk, has been transformed by Crown Paints Specification Services with the application of Sandtex Trade 365 All Weather Masonry Paint.
Made up of 90 apartments, the 15 storey building has been coated with 3,600 litres of long-lasting masonry paint by Sandtex Trade 365. Offering 15 years durability, the BBA-certified coating features a Pliolite Resin to combat the effects of tough weather conditions often associated with coastal environments.
The All Weather Masonry Paint was specified following a pre-start tenant consultation, where Crown Paints Specification Services presented residents with a choice of colour schemes for the residential high-rise.
Supplied by decorators merchants Brewers, the product was applied by CLC Group by brush and roller. The project took eight weeks to complete, and utilised mast climbers to enable the decorators to elevate up and down the building.
Following the project’s completion, Crown Paints donated a bench, made from recycled paint cans, to the residents at St. Peter’s Court.
Crown Paints Specification Businesses Development Manager, Dave Burkett, described the project as a “superb showcase of the support and initiatives Crown Paints Specification Services offer to help large-scale public sector works.”
