Door-stop has launched a new, tougher slab in response to the updated Building Regulations now outlining that any new building will require a front door that adheres to the UK Accreditation Service PAS24 2016 security regulation.
The new slab is thicker than the standard option, with an increased glass content, giving it the strength it needs to successfully pass the three-minute cut-through test required to meet the PAS24 2016 regulation.
Patrick Dean, Head of Sales and Marketing at door-stop said: “Door-step has developed a new security slab to provide peace of mind for customers and building specifiers. Secured by Design is awarded to companies that produce products, which pass standards and tests nominated by the police service.”
Door-stop’s new reinforced slab option is available on all of its Secured By Design doors and will be extended to cover its cottage style range later this year.
Door-stop doors are weather-proof, police approved, energy efficient, come with a secure guarantee and come with a unique serial number which can be registered on the door-stop website.
