Major British ventilation manufacturer Vent-Axia have announced it has been nominated for two prizes in The Energy Awards 2017, taking place on Wednesday 6th December.

These are in the ‘Energy Efficient Product of the Year – HVAC&R’ and ‘Innovation of the Year -Technology: Physical’ categories, for its revolutionary Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) unit, the Sentinel Kinetic Advance.

Product Marketing Manager – New Build Residential at Vent-Axia, Ian Mitchell, commented on the nominations: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted twice at these important industry awards.

“At Vent-Axia, the energy efficiency of our products is a major driving force in continual innovation and improvement, and so to be recognised in these awards is a great honour.

“Our pioneering Sentinel Kinetic Advance leads the way in energy efficient Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery.”

The innovative Sentinel Kinetic Advance is a new range of MVHR ventilation system, ensuring a quality performance whilst offering an energy efficient, high-pressure operation with virtually zero sound.

Ideal for new build residential properties, plus care homes and student accommodation, Advance also features a revolutionary programmable summer bypass to ensure thermal comfort twelve months a year.

The summer bypass is pioneering, as it is completely automatic and truly intelligent, the first of its kind. As well as this, it is set for both comfort temperature and minimum external temperature.

For more cooling, the Advance summer bypass has an ‘evening purge’ feature; this boosts at the start of the evening and runs on a timer until approximately 22:00, meaning no annoying noise at night.

Additional cooling is also available for several days of high temperatures and warm nights at a time.
