Leeds-based housing scheme sees Senior specified

  • 8 Jan 2018

Leading fenestration manufacturer Senior Architectural Systems have been selected to supply aluminium windows and doors for the new  private rented scheme in Leeds.

Situated deep in Leeds city centre, the glazing package for this residential programme was delivered by Aire Valley Architectural Aluminium Ltd, for main contractor Bardsley Construction.

Senior’s thermally broken SPW600e aluminium fixed light windows were chosen to provide enhanced security and greater thermal efficiency, with Senior’s sturdy SPW501 aluminium doors, designed to meet the requirements of PAS 24 and the Secured By Design standard, fitted to the ground floor communal entrance.

The acoustic quality of Senior’s SPW600e aluminium windows have been boosted thanks to the use of special double glazing, designed to lower the noise from a main road nearby.

Enhancing the flow of natural light, the company’s aluminium windows give residents attractive views of the River Aire, complementing the building’s brickwork facade.

Made up of 147 top quality apartments and five penthouses, the new Aire scheme is yet another addition to the portfolio of UK developer X1, designed by DK Architects.
