Aggregate Industries strives for gender diversity

  • 9 Mar 2018

Aggregate Industries has recently launched its new Maternity and Paternity Leave policy to show its commitment to creating a more gender diverse workplace.

The policy comes as part of Aggregate’s Diversity and Inclusion Programme, offering mothers 18 weeks full pay during their maternity leave in addition to a six week return to work bonus. Furthermore, Aggregate Industries will now be paying fathers two weeks full paternity leave too.

James Roberts, Organisation & Human Resources Director at Aggregate Industries, comments: “To  truly increase gender diversity in our organisation and our management teams, we realise that we need to take proactive steps to support women and men through different stages of their careers.”

The company is striving for a more balanced workforce – with a particular focus on attracting more women. Aggregate has announced that it is committed to achieving a 20 per cent gender balance by 2020 and a 30 per cent gender balance by 2030.
