Maidstone Museum in Kent has recently benefitted from the addition of an external Stannah Midilift SL platform lift.
This Grade II listed Elizabethan building required better access to the three floors of cultural facilities, including internationally important collections of human history and world cultures.
The through-entry Midilift SL outdoor lift was supplied in a fully glazed structure for easy, flexible installation.
The museum also upped its accessibility with the addition of disabled parking, ramps, an onsite wheelchair, and a warm welcome to guide dogs and hard-of-hearing groups.
The lift is easy to operate, with a backlit, push-button control panel and a grab rail to offer support. Furthermore, the roomy chequer-plate platform and emergency intercom ensure manoeuvrability and reassurance.
The external Midilift SL access lift is covered by Stannah’s comprehensive lift service plan, which includes four service visits, with continued lift maintenance by the London and the South East (Dartford) branch of Stannah Lift Services, part of a nationwide network providing comprehensive lift servicing and support.
