UK Pavilion at Fensterbau hailed ‘a great success’

Fensterbau Frontale proved to be, as expected, a busy week for the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF).

The world’s largest window exhibition took place last week in Nuremberg, Germany where, as hosts of the UK Pavilion, the GGF showcased 12 leading companies in the UK glazing industry.

The GGF had a positive outlook on the four day show, which saw nearly 1400 exhibitors, representing over 40 countries, attracting 110,000 visitors from the international fenestration industry.

Shaun McAllister, GGF Managing Director expressed his thanks to the 12 co-exhibitors at the UK Pavilion.

“Without them we would not have been able to promote the UK industry to this scale, at such a huge exhibition.

“I would also like to thank all the GGF team and our support staff who made the event run so successfully. All those who exhibited and visited the UK Pavilion, certainly seemed to enjoy the first class hospitality and networking.”

The UK Pavilion’s theme of ‘Britain Means Business’ was definitely lived up to by the co-exhibitors, courtesy of video presentations, product displays and live product demonstrations.

The second day of the show saw the UK Pavilion hold a unique British Reception; entitled ‘An Afternoon G&T’, sponsored by co-exhibitor RegaLead who were showcasing their cutting edge ColorSpray Aqua glass and PVC-U paint technology.

As well as RegaLead, other co-exhibitors included Clearview, FIT Events, Glazpart, GQA Qualifications, HOPPE UK, The Jackloc Company, Made forTrade, Reddiplex, RITEC International, Roseview Windows & Window Ware.

James Lee, GGF Director of Marketing and Communications, spoke about the rise of the UK Pavilion at the show over the past few years.

“In 2016, we launched the UK Pavilion with just five companies. This year we had 12 companies co-exhibiting and it is clear that there is a real interest from British companies in this exhibition,” he said.

“We will now gather feedback from our survey of all co-exhibitors and start planning 2020 at the end of this year.

“From the GGF perspective, we’re delighted the exhibition was a great success and that we promoted the GGF, our Members and the industry to an international audience.”
