GPS supplies Push-Fast pipes to €200m French RTE infrastructure project

  • 20 Nov 2013

The re-generation work has begun in the PACA region in the South East of France after the site was under constant threat of power outages.

The scheme, which is scheduled for completion in 2015, involves the installation of three 225,000 volt underground lines, with RTE requesting 30,600m of 225mm Push-Fast pipe and fittings from GPS to provide a cable duct solution to house an underground cable link between the towns of Boutre and Trans.

Push-Fast pipes and fittings are usually used in water infrastructure schemes, although RTE selected the product to withstand anticipated cable surface temperatures of up to 70°C.
