IKO’s Specification Division’s Director, Ashley Chivers, explains that it is important to maintain and improve roofs to ensure they are waterproof, energy efficient and secure in order to protect the building. Regular inspection and maintenance are crucial to avoid long-term problems such as water ingress which can result in damage to the fabric of a building, with significant associated costs and hazards.
